Common Issues During EPF Claim & How to Fix Them

1. Status says “Settled” but money not Received

If the status shows "Settled" but your bank account is empty:

1. Wait 3 working days as NEFT transfers are not instant.
2. Check that correct bank details has been provided by you.
3. Login again after 3 days and check “Return” status. If the NEFT bounced, the status will change from "Settled" to "Returned". You will need to update your bank details and re-apply.

2. Claim Rejected

1. If the rejection reason is due to mismatch in name, then submit a "Joint Declaration Form" to correct your name in EPFO records to match Aadhaar.
2. If the reason is “Member not exited from previous employment”, then ask your previous employer to mark your “Date of Exit” or do it yourself in the “Manage” tab.
